The Kitchen is the 'Hub of the Home' says Trends Study

The leading online platform for home renovation and design, Houzz has recently conducted a survey to find out the latest kitchen trends in the UK.
Here are some of the main findings:
- 60% of homeowners spend three hours or more in the kitchen a day, making it truly the heart of the home!
- Shades of white, grey and beige are top choices for walls and cabinetry
- Contemporary is the most popular style of kitchen chosen by homeowners
- The top design priorities of homeowners are that their kitchen is stylish and beautiful and filled with natural light
- Almost half of homeowners hired a kitchen designer for their kitchen renovation
- The highest functional priority is for it to be easy to store and find things in the kitchen
- Worktops, sinks and cabinets are the most popular feature upgrades
- Islands, pantry cupboards and breakfast bars are the top choices for built-in kitchens
